Small Claims Courts amounts. What amounts exactly are involved in a small claims court?
I have a case pending and I was asking the Attorney General’s office for advice. I was really upset when I was just being advised to submit a claim in a small claims court. The amount involved is over 100K. Is that still considered small claims? Please I need your answers. Thanks.
Small claims are state sensitive, because there are different amounts for different states, but normally the amounts allowed are from $2,500.00 to $5,00.00 dollars, i have never heard of a larger amount being allowed in any court, the person advising you may have misused the term Small claims and meant to say a civil claim in civil court where there is no limit, you would be wise to consult with a private attorney.~
